Wiki Use Habits

This page contains a list of recommended habits to maintain while using your wiki.

• Follow the page title naming convention guidelines
• Before you create a new page, know how you plan to link to it from an existing page. Create the link, then the page. Two or three is better.
• If you can't think of an existing page to link to it from, link to it from the home page; if you think it doesn't belong there, then make an intermediary page and just have one link on that page pointing to the new page. Although, most likely as you by the time you create your first backlink on the intermediary wiki page, you will have already thought of two other bullet points to add - and for those, name the bullet points exactly as the name of the page for them (when that page is created), but don't created it yet (no need, if you have nothing to add yet, and you probably don't have time right now anyway)
• Unless you already have something else in mind, start with: This page contains notes about...
• Optionally add additional scope information to first paragraph.
• Immediately create the first title - and that might be Notes about <page_title>
