This page contains guidelines for naming page titles and section headers throughout your wiki.

  • Do not add My unless it adds value
  • Do not add a category (such as High school) to the page title name, unless it would be too ambiguous without it
    • Do not create a page called Schedule > instead create High school schedule
  • Decide on a naming convention for classes
    • English 11, English 12
    • Algebra I, Algebra II
    • World history, U.S. histoy

Add only enough context to make a page title unambiguous. Generic pages that could have equivalents elsewhere in the wiki should include their context, such as High school schedule rather than Schedule. Pages with naturally distinctive names, such as Biology or Algebra II, generally do not need a High school prefix. Add grade, semester, or academic year only when needed to distinguish multiple pages. Prefer readable names such as Grade 11 schedule — Spring 2027 over abbreviations such as G11S2.
